The organisation has a board of voluntary trustees who are responsible for the overall management and direction of the charity and its services. The day to day responsibility for managing the organisation’s activity is delegated to the CEO and a team of paid staff who are accountable to the Trustees.
Kerry has been a Trustee for Murray Hall Community Trust since 2007 but her involvement with Murray Hall dates back to 1999.
Kerry set up a preschool playgroup in May 1999, from this she now runs a successful business.
I owe a great deal to Murray Hall Community Trust for giving me the confidence to set up my Day Nursery and Childcare Recruitment Agency Business.
Further achievements include a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Childhood & Family Studies in 2010.

Ron was born in Cannock, but from 8 years old lived and was educated in Tipton and is now living in Woodsetton, Dudley. He has been a Trustee of Murray Hall Community Trust for 3 years.
Ron has had a varied career, with experience as a Draughtsman, Estimator, Sales Office Manager, Head of Production Services Team, General Manager & Safety Officer.
In addition, Ron was a part-time Teacher for 50 years in First Aid, Physiology and Yoga Therapy and was a Youth Leader for 18 years.
John’s financial background spans over 30 years. During this time John has spent 18 years as a Financial Director until his retirement.
John’s Christian faith is an important part of his life and is a preacher in The Methodist Church. He is also the Chair of a small Tipton-based charity called ‘Tipton Youth Project’, which works closely with local churches and schools.
Vicky Powell has been appointed to the Board of Trustees on the 18th October 2016.
Vicky has been working as a Childcare Business Manager since 2001, having completed her degree in Business Management in 2010. Vicky actions all of the Premise Management, Finance and HR services for Tipton Toddlers Nursery and Mobile Creche Service.
"A key achievement for me working at Tipton Toddlers has been supporting the development of a small voluntary pre-school group to a thriving full day acre Nursery, Mobile Creche Service and Out Of School Club. This was recognised in 2007, 2009 and 2011, whereby myself and the Company Director received the Childcare Business Management Award for Tipton Toddlers from Sandwell Quality Early Years Unit. These key achievements have facilitated my work with Solutions 4 Educare - our Childcare Recruitment Agency and also in the purchase of a new Childcare Nursery - Early Steps - Dudley."
Vicky's family is everything to her and she loves taking holidays abroad with her family, taking in the culture, sightseeing and socialising with both family and friends
Sharon was born, educated and lived in Tipton for many years but now lives in Wordsley and has worked for Murray Hall Community Trust since 2008.
Sharon worked in Banking for 25 years and the Nuclear Power Industry for 5 years, with career experience including Business Banking, Project Management and Training.
For Leisure, Sharon likes walking, sewing and crafts and is a member of Tipton Civic Society and the Local History Group.
Malcolm is the founder of Murray Hall Community Trust.
His background is in community development and social enterprise.
He was a member of the team that put together the HS Plan. He has served as Chair of Health Authority, an Executive Director of a Strategic Health Authority and also as a lay member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
Malcolm has published a number of books including ‘More Help Not Care’ (low intensive services which promote an independence role to people).
Carol has worked in Sandwell since 2002, and joined Murray Hall Community Trust in 2011.
Carol is a qualified Social Worker, working with families to improve their children’s potential. Carol has mainly worked in the voluntary sector since qualifying in 1992.
Carol is also a Trustee for Sandwell Adventure Play Association.
Outside of work Carol enjoys walking her dog, cycling and swimming with her children.
Lisa’s professional background has covered a variety of roles within the private commercial organisations.
Since joining Murray Hall in 2006 she has brought a breadth of business acumen.
Her role here operates both strategically and operationally to oversee and control the financial, legal, governance and business areas of the charity.
Lisa’s pragmatic and objective approach has been valuable to Murray Hall during the years, helping us to achieve our successes.
She has previously held a Trustee role within another charity which also supports people with learning disabilities.
Manjula has a leadership M.A in Independent Studies in Health.
Manjula joined MHCT in 2001 and has over 24 years experience of working in the voluntary sector.
Manjula maintains control of the charity’s Health & Social Care resources. She was involved in developing one of MHCT services ‘Bridges Support Service’ which supports people with palliative care needs across Sandwell and Birmingham.
