Gift aid is only applicable to personal donations. If a donation is from more than one person then it cannot qualify for gift aid.
To qualify for Gift Aid, what you pay in UK income tax or capital gains tax must at least equal the amount we will claim in the tax year. Other taxes such as VAT and Council Tax do not qualify.
Using Gift Aid means that for every pound you give, we get an extra 25 pence from HMRC, helping your donation go further.
This means that £10 can be turned into £12.50 just so long as donations are given authority to Gift Aid. Imagine what a difference that could make and it doesn’t cost you a thing.
To be able to gift aid we require the authority full name, first line of the address, postal code and the donor to have ticked the gift aid box
