At Tipton Children’s Centre we held our first Networking Lunch on 16th May 2018 between 10 am – 12 pm.

The aim of this event was to:-

  • Meet other professional’s working within the Tipton area
  • Find out more of what is available for our families living within the Tipton area
  • Find out how to access services and support from the Children’s Centre
  • To tell others about their individual services

This event was a huge success with over 16 professionals attending from Schools, Housing, Job Centre Plus, Health and Sandwell Children’s Trust.

We had displays and literature available to inform the attendee’s about the services and the support we offer at the Children’s Centre and all attendee’s left with a pack of literature and referral forms for our services

The feedback and comments we received was very positive:-

“The packs were a very good tool to take away for future reference and the presentation was also very good”

“It was good to hear about the changes to the service and to be able to pt faces to names”

“The staff members were very good at explaining the displays and support they do at Murray Hall, and are very welcoming too”

“Discovering the range of support through the Children’s Centre and meeting the whole team, also like the idea of a named Children’s Centre contact for each school”

All of the professionals stated they would like another networking event and suggested having other professionals attend to share information about their services and support available to families.

After such a successful event we are planning to hold these events every three months and invite other professionals to present their services.

The next event will be in September 2018 (date to be confirmed) so watch this space!!
