Now recruiting Sessional Therapists to be part of our growing pool of creative therapeutic intervention specialists.
Intervention type: Psychotherapist/Therapist/ Counselors/ Mindfulness facilitators/ Family Therapist/ Hypnotherapist/ CBT/ DBT etc.
Hourly rate: £25ph-£30ph (Depending on which funded project you are assigned clients from)
Contract type: Self-employed sessional basis (SLA- Service Level Agreement)
Location: Covering across the Black Country with specific regards to Sandwell post coded areas. Please note that CTS are offering a blended approach to working during COVID with face to face and distance intervention via telephone and video calling.
Client information: The post will require someone with previous experience of working with CYP presenting with complex needs, such as Self-harming behaviors, Suicide idealization and Trauma and other adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
You will be supporting CYP from age 5yrs and those transitioning into adulthood with issues such as challenging behaviours, aggressive outbursts, self-harm, low mood & suicidal ideation, PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, attachment issues, relationships between young people and family members, protective behaviours etc. There is also the possibility to be working on principle adult based services.
The aim is to work collaboratively with CTS management and staff in developing and sharing a vision of the therapeutic work which enhances an individuals life opportunities and choices and helps them maximise their strengths.
Essential: Registered with the relevant professional organisation (HCPC, BAAT, BACP). Be a strong team player, with excellent communication skills. Sound organisational and time management skills. Experience in working with individuals with complex needs.
Beneficial: Previous experience in working with distance intervention types is advantageous.
In return we offer: Full support from a multidisciplinary team. Regular clinical supervision meetings and facilitation of peer to peer support supervision.
Note: Successful candidates will need to meet the person specification in order to be offered the ability to join our sessional pool of therapists. MHCT is committed to Safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users which we work with. All candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and reference checks. Being self-employed you are required to hold a minimum of 10 million in Professional Indemnity and malpractice insurance and adherence to GDPR regulations.
