Salary: £15,314 per annum (£22,665 FTE)
Location: The Bridge, Tipton
Hours: 25 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term to January 2023 (Funding dependent)

Are you a confident and creative individual with lived experience of the issues facing vulnerable young people (i.e., involvement in gangs or knife crime) and a proven ability to drive engagement through music intervention?
We are recruiting for a Music Facilitator/ youth worker to join our creative delivery team as part of our Youth Music funded programme “Beats Not Blades”.
About the programme: This programme will aim to raise awareness and help tackle the increase in crime offences across Sandwell through the medium of creative music and art, giving young people hope, direction, alternative coping mechanisms, providing new opportunities and building longer term resilience.
Workshop themes: Music Production, Positive Lyric Writing, Art Workshops, Knife-Crime Awareness.
The role will focus on delivering structured sessions to children and young people whilst maintaining the high standards of the project outcomes. A great opportunity to contribute towards the overarching aim of reducing risk, harm and exclusions, it will involve working closely with police, schools and People Referral Units and developing relationships based on trust while prioritising safeguarding. You’ll also work alongside other multi-agency teams, attend key meetings and feed intelligence back in to help drive project success.
Location: Covering across the Black Country with specific regards to Sandwell post coded areas. Please note that we are offering a blended approach to working during COVID-19 restrictions with face to face and distance intervention via telephone and video calling.
