Testimonial from Gurdwara member
" I feel the Mental Health project is growing and going in the right direction, as there is a call for signposting and support platforms to be available and accessible by the community.

I honestly believe Bal [Coach] is a Godsend, as I have been waiting to start a wellbeing Initiative for some time, but felt I needed a push.

I am also very grateful as I have now been appointed the Wellbeing Lead at Guru Nanak Gurdwara, Birmingham, by the General Secretary.
I truly have been blessed to be a volunteer within this mental health project and would like to say a heartfelt and sincere thank you to you all for giving me this opportunity."

We are working with communities to establish more Communities of Practice (CoPs) across South Asian communities in Birmingham. We welcome people who are passionate about strengthening community resilience and promoting mental wellbeing around life experiences such as death, dying, bereavement, and caregiving.
The Connecting Caring Communities programme supports communities members to come together, identify what matters most to them, and develop practical, community-led solutions that improve mental health and wellbeing.
