After six years in the recruitment sector, Sadie decided she wanted a change and a way to give back to her local community. Stepping through Murray Hall’s doors last December, she joined us with the aim of rebuilding her confidence after years of working from home.
Although she felt anxious at first, she turned up every day with a smile and a can-do attitude, meaning she fit in with our team straight away.
Supporting on reception alongside fellow volunteer Hayden, Sadie got stuck into community life by building connections, learning the ropes, and helping out in any way she could. This included getting involved in our community events, joining the fundraising team, and even teaching one of our regulars how to use their air fryer!
Someone who originally walked through those doors feeling anxious now steps into an environment where she has become a staple of Murray Hall. Since beginning her volunteering journey, Sadie has decided to continue her time with us as a Digital Skills Tutor, supporting learners to build confidence and develop the vital digital skills they need for everyday life and work.
“I'm really looking forward to continuing to support people, build connections, and help learners make the most of digital opportunities. A huge thank you to Murray Hall for all the support and this fantastic opportunity.”
We are so pleased to have you as part of the team, Sadie!
