We were contacted by Matt Marson, trainer of Tipton Town FC U12’s and a group of six boys came along to the food bank in Union Street, Tipton with around twenty bags full of food.
“Tipton Town U12's decided to stay active and fund raise during lockdown 2. The boys decided that we would donate an item of food for every mile that they ran / cycled during the lockdown. We have seen some fantastic efforts from the boys, the coaches and the parents. It has been a real team effort and we are delighted to have been able to support two wonderful charities after speaking with the Black Country Food Bank.”
Here are the boys at the food bank with their gifts: 154 Kilograms of Food and 11 Kilograms of non-food – enough to feed FIVE families for THREE Days.
