Base Location: The Bridge, St Marks Road, Tipton
Salary: £26,678 to £27,572 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed term contract to 31/07/26
We are recruiting a Digital Skills Tutor to play a crucial role in delivering the WMCA Digital Divide project, working to reduce digital exclusion across the West Midlands. This position will focus on supporting residents to develop essential digital skills and confidence in using technology.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Deliver personalised digital skills training to digitally excluded residents through one-to-one and small group sessions
Create and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for all learners
Support the achievement of project targets, particularly the 60% progression rate to accredited learning
Track and report learner progress through the Individualised Learner Record (ILR
Work collaboratively with Adult Community Learning providers to facilitate learner progression
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications required:
Level 3 qualification or higher in a relevant subject (e.g. ICT).
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
Teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, or equivalent suitable experience).
Minimum 2 years' experience delivering digital skills, or a similar subject, training to adults.
Experience working with vulnerable adults and those facing multiple barriers.
Experience using ILR systems or similar data reporting tools.
Track record of supporting learner progression.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
