A dementia diagnosis is vital

Diagnosis is vital to give people access to the care, treatment and support they desperately need. Yet, incredibly, 1 in 3 people with dementia do not have a diagnosis.

If you're worried about yourself, or someone close to you, get help describing your symptoms to a GP by filling in a symptoms checklist provided by Alzheimer’s Society.

For further support Sandwell community dementia service is free to access for people living in Sandwell who are registered with a Sandwell GP Practice and are at any stage of memory loss and/or other cognitive symptoms, diagnosed with dementia or a carer/family member of someone living with dementia.

To access the service, you can call 01902 826 655 or email bcicb.dementiasupport@nhs.net
